About the EFFS Program

The EFFS program is the culmination of over a decade's work by dedicated faculty, staff and students who are passionate about sustainable agriculture and food systems. It is funded by a Quality Fund Grant, awarded by Michigan State University to concepts that "enhance academic quality and demonstrably benefit students at MSU."

The concept and design of the EFFS specialization reflect our desire to provide context and connections that lead to trans-dicipinary perspectives and learning opportunities for graduate students. With shared courses and extracurricular opportunities, students have the advantage of developing a multidisciplinary network of future colleagues.
